Agreement

By using corvosec.com you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site. The site is operated by Corvo Security LLC, a Texas limited liability company. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Corvo Security LLC, and "you" means the person using the site.

What this site is

A marketing and publishing site for a security consulting practice. It describes services, publishes writing, points at a podcast and a newsletter, and offers a contact form. There is no account to create, nothing to purchase, nothing to log into, and no subscription managed here.

The content is information, not advice

Everything published here, including service descriptions, insights posts, and references to frameworks such as NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-82, CIS Controls, and NERC CIP, is general information about security practice. It is not security, legal, regulatory, or financial advice for your environment, and you should not act on it as if it were. Sound security decisions depend on facts about your systems, obligations, and risk tolerance that a public web page cannot know. Get qualified advice, ours or someone else's, before you act.

No engagement is formed here

Reading this site, emailing us, or submitting the contact form does not create a client relationship, a consulting engagement, or any duty of confidentiality on our part. We take on work only under a written agreement signed by both sides. Until that agreement exists, treat anything you send as unprotected, and keep confidential or sensitive material out of the contact form. The Privacy Policy explains where form submissions actually go.

Intellectual property

The content of this site, including text, page design, layout, photography, generated imagery, and the Corvo Security name, logo, and marks, belongs to Corvo Security LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright and trademark law. You may read it, link to it, and quote short passages with attribution. Without written permission you may not republish, resell, mirror, or systematically copy it, and you may not use it as training data for a machine learning model. Third-party names, marks, and product names that appear here belong to their owners and are used for identification only.

Third-party services and links

Parts of this site depend on services we do not control. The contact form is an embedded third-party form. Podcast and newsletter listings are drawn from third-party feeds. Buttons and links send you to third-party platforms. We do not control those services, we do not endorse everything on them, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Once you are on them, their terms govern.

Acceptable use

Use the site for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to it or the systems behind it, probe or attack it, scrape it in a way that degrades service for others, submit false or misleading information through the contact form, or use the form to send unsolicited commercial messages. We may block access over any of these.

Availability

We publish this site as it is and may change, move, or remove any part of it at any time without notice. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of error.

Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent the law allows, this site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy. We do not warrant that the information here is current, complete, or error free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Corvo Security LLC and its members, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of your use of this site, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to this site is limited to one hundred United States dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law. This section governs the website only. A signed engagement agreement carries its own terms and those control the work performed under it.

Indemnity

You agree to cover our reasonable costs, including attorney fees, if a third party brings a claim against us because you misused this site or breached these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute arising out of this site or these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The "Last updated" date at the top marks the current version, and continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept it.
