FAQ - What You Need To Know

Who should attend the Lone Star Cyber Shootout?

This event is for any cybersecurity professional that wants to ditch the boring conference networking events and share an unique and exciting experience with other cybersecurity professionals.

What should I expect?

This event is designed to give you multiple shooting experiences and help you build new relationships with your peers in the cybersecurity industry. Relax, network, and enjoy the ride.

How do I get to Staccato Vegas and back to the strip?

Shuttle busses will pick participants up at four locations the day of the event and return you to those locations throughout the day.

Will there be food available?

Multiple Food trucks will be available all day and there will be a tent and lounge where you can take a break to relax and network.

How long is the event?

You can plan for about 6-7 hours

How are you ensuring safety with so many people attending?

All shooting activities are run by highly trained professionals with years of experience in the military and law enforcement. Each range has specific safety rules that will be reviewed with particiapants before each event and violations will result in immediate removal from the range. To offset the Vegas heat we will have plenty of shade, water and cooling stations available for participant's use.

Do I need shooting experience?

No! All skill levels are welcome. Professional instructors will guide you every step of the way.

Can I invite a +1?

Yes! Friends and Family tickets are available for an additional charge.

What should I wear?

Dress for the Vegas heat! So you will want to wear lightweight, breathable clothing. Closed toe shoes are required, so that means no sandals or flip-flops. We also highly recommend hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen be a part of your wardrobe for the day as well.

What should I NOT bring?

No personal firearms or ammunition are allowed. We provide all of that for you. No Alcohol! Drinks will be available only after the shooting ends. No Sales Pitches. This event isn't about trying to sell each other, it's about generating real relationships.

Will there be alcohol available at the event?

During the event, NOPE. But on the shuttle bus ride back its time for Cocktails!
